This peer-led support group meets the

third Wednesday of each month

in Milcreek, Utah.

While adoption allows people to become parents, it does not cure infertility. This support group offers a safe place to to discuss the grief and loss of infertility as well as adoption. It addresses feelings related to infertility throughout an adoption journey, grieving having a biological child, making the decision to move onto adoption, and navigating the complexities of the adoption world. Current adoptive parents or those considering adoption are welcome (including those with biological children).

2017 Support Group Leaders

This support group is peer-led, meaning that the group leaders are everyday people who have personally experienced infertility. Although they are not professional counselors, our support group leaders are given training and support from the professional staff at UIRC.

Mandie Peckover

Mandie is a Utah native and six year infertility survivor. She lives in Midvale with her husband Adam and their  two year old son Dimitri, who they were blessed to adopt. She works part time as a nurse and enjoys being home with her son the rest of the time. She loves to cook and hopes to go to culinary school one day. She also loves yoga, running, and anything else outdoors. She has really enjoyed volunteering as a support group leader for the past year and is excited to continue working with the Adoption and Infertility group.
