Infertility is more than a medical issue.
If your thoughts and feelings about infertility are negatively impacting your day-to-day life, counseling can be an invaluable resource and outlet.
Our licensed therapists each have personal experience with infertility as well as training to help you with the mental and emotional aspects of your journey—as an individual or a couple.
In addition to taking an emotional toll, we know an infertility journey can be expensive. We base our fees on a sliding scale so that we can serve as many as possible.
I am passionate about helping to build a healthy, informed community around infertility.

Is Counseling for Me?
Anyone who notices their thoughts and feelings about infertility are negatively impacting day-to-day life can benefit from counseling.
Do any of these sound familiar?
You have difficulty focusing at work, school, or during leisure time.
Your thoughts constantly go back to, “when will I become a parent? Will it ever happen? Why is my life not going the way I planned?”
When the topic turns to children, pregnancy, or parenting in a social setting you feel yourself squirming in your seat and a knot rises in your throat.
You're irritable and angry with your partner because they just don’t seem to understand why you feel the way you feel.
Unfortunately, the people you've relied on during difficult times may not understand infertility and the impact it has. Counseling gives you a safe place to discuss your thoughts, fears, and feelings.
If you're interested in counseling but concerned about the cost, know that we're here to help. Infertility can be an expensive journey, so our fees are based on a sliding scale. After reviewing income and other circumstances—such as the expense of treatments—we will agree on a session fee, starting as low as $30 per session.
Still on the fence? Give us a call at 385-313-0990 or email us. We're happy to answer your questions.
I’m ready to schedule a counseling appointment, how do I begin?
Great, we can't wait to meet you. To set up your first appointment, use the form above to send in your request.
How much does counseling cost?
We offer services on a sliding fee scale. We adjust the scale based on your your financial situation and where you are in your infertility journey.
Can you bill my insurance for our counseling sessions?
We are currently paneled with BCBS Utah and UNI-Behavioral Health Network. We are happy to provide you with a statement to submit to your insurance to see if they will reimburse. Please call your insurance provider to inquire about coverage.
Where are the sessions held?
Currently, most counseling sessions are held virtually or in our Salt Lake Office at the "Meet Me on 33rd" space located at 1565 E 3300 S.
Can I bring my partner for a couples' session?
Yes! Arrange this with your therapist.
Do you offer group sessions?
Yes, we do offer therapist-lead small group sessions. You would join 4-5 other women experiencing infertility and work with the therapist on issues such as coping strategies, grief and loss, conflict with partner, etc. These small group sessions run for 6 weeks and are $25 per week. To join a group, please email us for availability.
I’ve never been to counseling or therapy before, what can I expect?
You can expect to be heard, and to work through issues you’ve identified with your therapist. All of the therapists at UIRC have specific training, as well as personal experience with infertility. Each session lasts 50 minutes.
