Travis Allred, MBA

UIRC Board Vice Chair
Travis holds a degree in Social Science Teaching with a minor in Art History from Brigham Young University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. For five years, Travis taught AP European History, AP Art History, Financial Literacy, and Leadership at Hillcrest High School in Midvale, Utah. He also coached several sports, and ran Hillcrest’s Link Crew program, preparing 9th graders for success in high school and beyond.
Since 2018, Travis has led the Early Learning Project at Envision Utah, a nonprofit in Salt Lake that helps Utahns think about and prepare for the future. Always a teacher, Travis is responsible for sharing groundbreaking brain building science with parents, organizations, and stakeholders across Utah. A partner with the Bezos Family Foundation and Vroom, Travis inspires organizations that work with parents to help create brain-building environments for their small children.
Travis’s wife, Nichelle, is a carrier for a genetically inherited blindness gene that would be passed down to their children, but, thanks to IVF with genetic testing, Travis and Nichelle are building their family with the help of UIRC’s “Lucky Socks” program and wonderful therapy services.
Travis is an avid reader, news junkie, and Disney fan. He enjoys weightlifting, traveling, spending time in Utah’s backcountry, and eating good food with friends and family.
