Utah is home to many adoption services and is also served by several national agencies. While the list below isn't a comprehensive index of all adoptions resources, it's a solid beginning for your research.

We don't endorse any resource in particular, but suggest you look for ethical providers with experience in your unique situation.

Utah Domestic Adoption Agencies

A Act of Love

Based in Sandy, UT and facilitate about 55-60 adoptions per year. Agency fees range from $25,000 to $45,000.

Forever Bound

Based in Morgan, UT, Forever Bound is an adoption organization founded in 2012. Agency fees are approximately $27,000 - $36,000.

Heart Strings

Based out of South Jordan, UT and facilitate about 7 adoptions per year. Fees range around $27,000+.

A Guardian Angel

Based in Sandy, UT and facilitate 75-100 adoptions per year. Agency fees range from $21,500 to $49,750.

Based out of St. George, UT and facilitate 35-45 adoptions per year. Agency fees are $30,000-$40,000.

Utah International Adoption Agencies

Wasatch International

Based out of Ogden, UT and facilitate about 70 international adoptions per year. They work with domestic and international adoption with the following countries: Bulgaria, China, Haiti and Tonga. Agency fees range from $20,000-$35,000.

Children's House International

Based out of Washington, but licensed in Utah as well and facilitate about 200 international adoptions per year. Countries they work with are Bulgaria, China, Colombia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, Hungary, India, Mexico, Poland, Georgia, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. Agency Fees range from $15,000 to $30,000.

Foster Care

Utah Foster Care

A non-profit organization that finds, trains, and supports Utah families who are willing and able to provide a nurturing home for children who have been neglected or abused. They have seven offices throughout the state of Utah.

RISE Services

Provides services for children and families through foster care and professional parenting, adoption, and kinship care.

Raise The Future 
(formally The Adoption Exchange)

An organization dedicated to helping waiting children in the Utah foster care system find safe, loving, permanent homes.

Financial Resources

Adoption Tax Credit

Tax benefits for adoption include both a tax credit for qualified adoption expenses paid to adopt an eligible child and an exclusion from income for employer-provided adoption assistance. The credit is nonrefundable, which means it's limited to your tax liability for the year. However, any credit in excess of your tax liability may be carried forward for up to five years. The maximum amount (dollar limit) for 2022 is $14,890 per child.

HelpUsAdopt.org, founded in 2007, is a national 501(c)(3) adoption grant program. HelpUsAdopt.org was founded by Becky and Kipp Fawcett as a response to their own personal adoption experience in an effort to make adoption more feasible for all families.
