For this week’s Mental Health Monday post, we want to remind you to take some time to laugh. Infertility can be something that consumes our minds 24/7 and we often forget to step back and find joy around us. Laughter can be one useful way to tap into that joy maybe we haven’t felt in a while. Whether by watching a funny show, reading a funny book, or talking to someone who you think is hilarious, laughter can have many mental health benefits. Studies show that laughter can help relax the body and decrease your heart rate, reducing some of the physical symptoms of stress (mayoclinic.org). So, if you’re feeling extra stressed about your family building situation, be sure to give yourself a break and laugh!
