Gisselle Topham

I’m Gisselle, I’ve been married for 5 years and trying to conceive for 4. In 2015 after a failed cycle, my husband and I decided to do foster care. 2016 was our year for foster care. We have had a couple of placements that we have really enjoyed. But towards the end of the year we felt we needed to try treatments again. So now we are in the middle of that again. This will be my second year as a SGL and my third year of attending. I love the in-person support groups because I feel like they were a life-saver for me when I needed it most. And I love being a SGL because I feel like I’m paying it forward and that is a very rewarding feeling. When I see relief in other girls as they share their stories and see that they are not alone, I go back to the feelings I felt at the start of my infertility journey and know that I am making a difference.
